The number 32

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 7:45 am by lucygabrielle

Your Animal’s Oracle contains 32 cards. What is the significance of this?

When I was being guided to create Your Animal’s Oracle I asked Source early on in the process how many cards there would be in the pack. I immediately received a clear number: 32.

For me there are two things of interest in this number. The first (as suggested by my husband) is that 32 is the multiple of 4 and 8. Four is the number of foundations and the elements of nature. (It could also be symbolic of ‘four paws’.) And eight has always been my favourite number and symbolises infinity and realised vision. Both of these numbers work well with these cards as we take the energy of nature (in our animals) and realise its full potential.

The second thing to note is that 32 becomes the number 5 in numerology (3+2=5).  Five is an interesting number because it sits right in the middle with 1-4 behind it and 6-9 in front of it. So the number 5 becomes the point at which we can choose a direction in which to live. If we don’t like what has come before this moment in time then we can choose to look ahead into a new direction. Five becomes one of those numbers that people see as a flip number: either good or bad. But I think this is terribly simplistic. The key to the number 5 is choice. You have a choice as to which direction to take. In this sense 32 (5) becomes a very powerful number for Your Animal’s Oracle because it empowers the user to make a choice about their relationship to their animal.

For further interest in this numerology:

32 is the flipside of 23 and if you happen to get hold of the DVD of the 2007 movie The Number 23 (starring Jim Carey) you will find in the extras a lengthy and detailed discussion of the numbers 23 and 32.

How to use animal oracle cards

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 10:19 pm by Joanne

There are probably as many ways to use your oracle cards as you can think of. The most important thing is make sure that you:

  • have stated your intent
  • ground and centre yourself
  • be open to receiving guidance for the highest good.

Here is one way to use your cards.

  1. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
  2. Imagine yourself sitting on the ground and golden-white light running down through the top of your head and down your spine to connect with the ground. You might even like to imagine yourself growing roots down into the earth.
  3. When you feel ready state your intention. For example: ‘I ask to receive clear and accurate guidance for the highest good about my dog Daisy.’
  4. Ask your question. For example: ‘What is it appropriate that I should know in regards to Daisy’s health right now?’
  5. Shuffle the cards (in whatever way works for you) for as long as you feel necessary.
  6. When you feel the time is right you may like to pick one to four cards from the pack. (If any of the cards ‘fly out’ while you are shuffling then take particular notice of these.)
  7. Read the messages and look at the pictures. Take your time to reflect on the various ways that the card may have guidance for you on your question.

You may like to write your messages down in a journal for future reference. Date your journal entries. If you notice the same cards or themes coming out over time then this might provide extra relevance for your situation.
